worded weds lol!

I havent updated for a few, so Im doing it now. Eowyn is in bed napping, im watching a show on TLC, and playing on the computer.

So ECing hasnt been going great the last few weeks. I made a concious decision at 16 months, shes 15 now, we are going full steam with EC. We will do diaperless at home, and trainers when out with covers. I would like Eowyn to be potty trained by 18mos, but im not going to push it. I think she would be close to it now, but I will admit im lazy! Lol!

In other news, we just bought Eowyn a kitchen, and she LOVES it. She played with it all day yesterday. We bought it used from a second hand shop and it will last for years to come. I plan on opening an in home daycare in a few months after we move, so it was a smart purchace for that as well. Im hoping to get filled fast due to being cd friendly and all my years of experience as a nanny.

So to sum it up, noting super exciting has been happening here. Oh i did make about 40 cloth wipes in a week, that was awesome. And I plan to try and make some cloth trainers for E, in a few weeks.

Much needed update

So I havent been great about doing a daily or even weekly blog. Sometimes theres not enough hours in the day it seems like. I love my family, and am 100% dedicated to spending time with my sweet baby when shes awake, so I am going to try to blog at night or during the nap times.

ECing has been going great! We are catching almost 80%, not including nights. Im at a loss as to how to approach night time EC. My lo usually sleeps though the night, although lateley shes been up a few times a night. I like to blame that on those nasty teeth!

I dont want to wake her to potty her, and shes still getting a cup of milk before bed, so until I take that last cup away I know theres no chance of staying dry over night.

So the EC adventure has been wonderful for us. I wish i knew more people who did it! Its amazing!

2-3 diapers a day

Were down to only having 2-3 accidents in diapers a day! Its so awesome!

Yaa for tiny victories!

We have had ups and downs on our EC journey, but this week has been amazing!  Eowyn is 13months!

I have been off work since tuesday, so today is my 3rd day off.  Tuesday we did alot of cleaning and alot of ecing, I had her in her tiny panties but I'm starting to think they might be too tight and actually making her miss more.

Weds morning after breakfast she went over to her potty and sat on it and went, she had on a diaper, but it let me know she knows what the potty is for, so the rest of the day, except nap/mealtimes, she was bare bottomed with a dress on!  We only had one big accident after dinner, a #2 and it was a mess!

Today, it's 1:34pm and she has peed and pooed in her potty all day except our little outing to lunch.  So one dirty diaper all day today, and no misses!  She even went and sat on the potty twice and pooed by herself!

I am so glad I had these few days off to really focus on this!  I'm actually off all next week then vacation the week after that so were going to make great strides twards being totally diaperless over the next 2 weeks!

Sickness and teeth!

We have been Mia for a while.  We have not been doing so great on ec lately!  My lo used to go as soon as she woke up and now likes to hold it and wait till I put a diaper on her to go.  On top of all this we found out she had N ear infection last weds, did 5 day dose of antibiotics, and I was up with her all night took her back to dr and she has one in the other ear now and is on a 10day antibiotic routine now.  Her birthday is less than 10 days away.

So with being sick, and getting 2 new teeth we haven't been so persistent with the ec.  I dont want to have her associate the ecing with pain or frustration.

Ita been a roller coaster!  But I feel wonderful when we do make a catch and when she does keep her pants dry!  I love my sick cranky little monster!

Hello!!

So we have had a rough week. I havent been feeling well and baby is teething, so I have been happy just to catch before/after naps and sleeping, and any major change in activity. We went to a library class this week, and I took her potty before and it was the first time I sat her on the potty backwards and sat behind her. She actually went, while playing with the flusher part, lol, atleast it was decently clean!

We just got 15 custom pairs of underwear for her today. I didnt work today because I was sick, and hubby stayed home to watch her so I could rest and start feeling better. Im still not feeling great but I have been kicking myself to update, so here it is! Im going to try out the undies tomorrow, I cant wait!
